COMMUNITY MEETING TO DISCUSS THE FUTURE OF THE JINDIVICK PROGRESS ASSOCIATION
March 16 7:30 Jindivick Hall
(And thus aspects of the future of Jindivick This is not a meeting about the future of The Caf’.)
All community members are invited to join in discussing the future directions of this longstanding Jindivick organisation which promotes the wellbeing and interests of residents, organisations and groups in your area. (Please see p. 3 for a full statement of the JPA’s role)
In recent years membership of the JPA Committee has declined, with the same small group of volunteers now struggling to provide activities and services to the com-munity. New Committee members are needed to carry out current tasks, as well as provide ideas for Jindivick’s future activities and development, so that occurrences such as the cancellation of Australia Day activities this year are avoided in future.
Alternatively you may consider that functions of the JPA should be merged with the Jindivick Hall Committee or the Neerim District Progress Association.
Please join other locals in having a say in your community’s future on 16th March at the Jindivick Hall at 7:30pm
It begins on Saturday 1st October 2022 9am- 1pm

In 2021 Jindivick Primary School was selected as one of 5 schools in Victoria to conduct a citizen science project to monitor what is living in the students creeks and dams. Several of the Jindi P.S students are presenting their findings to the Landcare group and community. This will be a terrific night, so come along and encourage the children as they are very excitedly planning their presentations for us!

Have your say about services in your community.
Do you live in Neerim District, Rokeby, Crossover, Jindivick, Nayook, Buln Buln or Noojee?
If so, Baw Baw Shire Council would like to know what services you need, where and when you need them.
As part of the Community Hubs Strategy, we are developing a survey to find out more about your service needs.
This is your opportunity to shape the spaces and resources to be provided to your community in the next ten years.
You can get involved by doing the survey online or picking up a hard copy at the local newsagent, aged care facility, bank or community centre. Complete it and return it to be included in the consultation.
The survey closes on the 2nd June 2021.
We encourage you to complete the survey so we can take your needs into account in planning services for your community, now, and into the future.
To make sure we get it right, we are also holding community consultations so we can clarify the information from the survey and find out your vision for your community.
The community consultations will be held in:
Neerim South, Wednesday 16th June from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in the Phoenix Room (Neerim South Recreation Reserve)
Noojee, Monday 21st June from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Noojee Community Hall
Jindivick, Wednesday 23rd June from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Jindivick Hall
Why be involved?
We are a diverse community, and your ideas can help shape what services are available in your community
and how they are delivered. Have your voice heard.
Come and join us!
